EXPERIENCE AND SPECIALIZED TRAINING
Sam brings more than 20 years of clinical experience to his work. He is an EMDRIA Certified Therapist, certified in Emotionally Focused Therapy for couples, an AAMFT Approved Supervisor, founder and clinical director of Las Vegas Therapy, and an experienced university instructor and clinical mentor. His additional training includes ACT, CBT, IFS, and trauma-informed care.
WHAT TO EXPECT
Therapy begins with a careful assessment of what is happening, what has already been tried, and what meaningful change would look like. Sam integrates trauma treatment, attachment work, and relationship therapy according to each client’s needs. He does not promise a quick fix; the goal is a clear, collaborative plan for work that matters in everyday life.
FOR THERAPISTS
Sam provides clinical supervision and advanced case consultation for therapists who work both inside and outside Las Vegas Therapy. His approach is collaborative, developmentally focused, and grounded in ethical practice, clear case conceptualization, and the effective use of the therapist’s own presence.
NEVADA LICENSURE SUPERVISION
As an AAMFT Approved Supervisor and Nevada Board-approved supervisor, Sam offers primary and secondary supervision for eligible Nevada MFT interns when availability and each Board-approved supervision agreement permit. Supervision may include case presentation, review of recorded work with appropriate client consent, treatment planning, ethics, professional identity, and preparation for independent practice.
ADVANCED CLINICAL CONSULTATION
Licensed therapists may seek consultation for complex couples work, infidelity and betrayal, problematic sexual behavior, attachment injuries, trauma, EMDR case conceptualization, and development as a clinical supervisor. EMDR consultation with Sam is not represented as counting toward EMDRIA certification unless he later obtains the separate EMDRIA Approved Consultant credential.
Sam also teaches and mentors developing clinicians through university and professional settings. Therapists can apply for individual supervision, ask about consultation groups, or request specialized training for a practice or organization.
